sky inbox disabled

Hi,

My main sky email account is working fine but the secondary inbox which forwarded the emails to the main one has been disabled. We used both regularly so are a bit stumped. Any ideas?

Can you tell us exactly what error message is displayed when you try to log in to the secondary email account?

What happens when you login to it here so what onscreen message do you see:

I get 'found. Redirecting to https://mail.yahoo.com/m/?.partner=sky&.src=ym&reason=partner_domain'

but nothing happens.

  • The last forwarded message was 6 days ago when the yahoo app was updated, but nothing since. When trying to send an email from the main account to the secondary one, it comes back as a 'mailer-demon' failed due to the email box being disabled.

Hi,

The main sky account is in my name and I added my wife's sky email address and set it to forward emails to my email address. This has worked for years. The last forwarded email was 6 days ago. Nothing since. The yahoo app was updated 6 days ago. When trying to send an email to my wife's email we get a 'mailer-demon' message saying that it was undeliverable due to the email box being disabled.

When did you last login to this email account as you have to do this at least once per year to keep it active.

Hi, thank you for that. I will have to contact Sky directly as we have not had to log in deliberately previously. Any emails have just automatically been forwarded to the main inbox which we log into on a daily basis.

Hi,

  • Thank you. I've spoken to Sky who have told me the same. The emails were sent out right at the time that I was in hospital with a diabetic DKA and heart-attack so it's not surprising that we missed them. They are hopeful that they may be able to recover it as it's only just happened but I'm not holding my breath!

Just what do you mean by the Yahoo app was updated? I suspect you may have fallen prey to a phishing email.

Ah, if you only use the Yahoo app, and not the webpage, then it is likely the problem is the secondary account has been suspended as "unused". Hope Sky are able to re-enable it for you.
