@beady234 it will remember you if you don't log out of email. Just close your browser when you've finished.

If you want to turn off 2 step verification, tap on 'can't sign in with code' on the login page, then enter your Recovery Code.

See Sky's instructions here: https://www.sky.com/help/sky-yahoo-mail/two-step-verif/articles/two-step-verification if you didn't make a note of your Recovery Code.

@beady234

Have you actually set 2FA up on your account as it will ask you for this by default so if you haven't set this setup then select the "setup later" link as it should then take you to your account.

I think Sky/Yahoo must be playing around with their systems again today.

I don't log out, I just close my browser - being doing the same for years - but today it's started with the 'Hello' screen and has gone through the 2FA despite asking it to remember for thirty days.

Hardly the end of the world, but a bit annoying that they seem to keep messing around. I'm sure there must be a good reason...

@Ted845 I haven't noticed anything different here. Just a glitch perhaps.

I've been trying to turn off two factor authentification using these instructions.  I say I can't get the code and it asks me for my recovery code.  But then when I enter the recovery code, I go back to the page asking to set up two factor authentification and there seems no option to skip this.  There doesn't seem any way now to log into emails from a browser without using 2FA.

@Fosowska 2 step verification was made mandatory,last week, I'm afraid. Is there a particular problem with using it, other than the undoubted inconvenience?

It's just a bit annoying and I thought there was a way round it.  I'd previously managed to circumnavigate around it so it seemed like there was something new going on.  So thanks for the confirmation that this is a new requirement.

@Fosowska

The recovery code is now really only useful if you lose access to your registered phone number, as it allows you to submit a new one
