deleting yahoo sky email
how does someone delete their sky yahoo email? the period of leaving it untouched for 6 months clearly does not work and it seems no one has had any luck when contacting customer service

Re: deleting yahoo sky email
I've never understood the obsession with deleting Sky|Yahoo email addresses.
If you no longer want it, just stop using it and forget about it.
Perhaps set up an out-of-office response along the lines of "This mailbox is no longer monitored, please use an alternative method to contact me" so that anyone who mistakenly sends to it is made aware.
Job done, get on with life.
It will disappear eventually.

Re: deleting yahoo sky email
@cdow Sky do have a process for deleting Sky Yahoo Mail accounts, but previous posts indicate that it's poorly understood amongst the service advisers and you may struggle to find one who knows what's required. You would need to call if you want to try, but it's probably less frustrating to do as @jayach suggests, and just allow it to wither by not logging in. Eventually it will be removed.

Re: deleting yahoo sky email
I think from time to time Sky contact people who haven't logged into their online email account for a period of time like 6 months advising them that it will be deleted if they fail to do so, so if this does happen @cdow you might find that one day out of the blue you are contacted by Sky regarding this. So for the time being just leave it as it is and don't login to it at all.
