delete a yahoo email account

i have been trying to delete a sky yahoo account for months  spam etc are continually emailing appx 100 emails in 3 months which wont delete even after i select all and delete  i dont and have never used the account for years 

any suggestions.

It will be automatically deleted if you do not log into it, however this can takes months to occur. The other option is to call Sky and hope you talk to someone who knows how to do this as it appears many do not. Personally I would forget about the account as it should be deleted one day but only if you no longer log into it over a period of a good few months.
