Why are my emails sent from Customer Service ?

When I compose an email it is automatically shown as being sent from 'Customer Service' and then my email adddres and not my name. When it arrives at the recipient it lands in their Spam folder.

Go to Settings > More Settings > Writing Emails and check that the Default Sending Address is set to default.

On the same More Settings page, go to Filters and check that there's nothing there that you haven't set up.

You'll need to use a PC /laptop for access to More Settings, or a mobile device in desktop mode.

Change such as these are typically what someone who has gained unauthorised access to your account might do, so if you see any changes in either of the above, change your password as a precaution.

@Reepham

If you have had to make a change then logout and change your password:

https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/

You might want to give some thought to setting up two step verification as per this:

https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-yahoo-mail/two-step-verif/articles/two-step-verification

If you do set this up it in important that you make a note of and keep safe the recovery code.

Re: Why are my emails sent from Customer Service ?

Thank you for your helpful responses. I have now solved this problem, which was actually simple when I twigged how to do it, despite three unsuccessful calls to the Sky helpline and their failure to reply to my letter.

Go to Settings/More Settings/Mailboxes and select your email address in the Mailbox List, type in your name and reply-to address. In my case someone had added an unknown email address and subsituted my name with the 'Customer Service'.

Have you now changed your password and perhaps set up two step authentication and if you did made a note of the recovery code ?
