Verification code for email

After one very long call to sky to get my verification code I was then cut off.  This call was also the operator trying to get me to buy an Ipad!!!  Did not even bother to call me back.  I tried to call again and the operator said he would reset my email, etc. and would send me a satisfaction form.  Form has not arrived and still no verification number.  How can this be so difficult to find.  I dont remember being given a recovery number at the start as the verification just appeared one day.  Worked fine up until now.  Nothing seems to be coming through to my phone even though I am with sky.!!!!  Will try again but if no luck with be seriously thinking of changing provider.

Verification codes are sent automatically to the mobile number you gave when you set up 2 step login. Sky can't manually send you one.

 

The Recovery Code was displayed on screen (and sent to your email address) as part of the 2 step login setup process. To complete the setup process you had to confirm that you'd seen it and made a separate note of it.

 

If Verification Codes aren't coming through for some reason, and you didn't make a note of the Recovery Code as Sky recommended, you'll have to ask them to turn off 2 step login on your behalf. Assuming you can find an adviser who knows who to refer this to, it will take a while for them to turn off 2 step login on your behalf.
