ip address on email taken over by hacker need to know how to close email account
A hacker got on my sky/yahoo email account via my ip addreess, and as others have stated I was unable to get any assistance from Sky or Yahoo so now using a gmail account.
So I want to shut down my Sky email account and despite my searching can not work out how to do so.
I have successfully moved all my wanted/needed contacts and apps sucessfully to my my gmail account so now just need to close the sky email. Like others when I contacted Sky with email issue they stated they no longer have an email department therefore each person you speak to only have a limited ability to help and the other forb off was to contact Yahoo and when I did was told they could not help as I am a Sky customer so hence safest way forward is to stop using Sky email.
Any insight to assust in shutting/stopping the email account would be much appreciated.

Re: ip address on email taken over by hacker need to know how to close email account
Unless things have changed recently, there is a process for deleting Sky Yahoo Mail accounts at a customer's request. However, understanding among advisers of Sky Yahoo Mail processes in general is quite patchy. You could submit a formal complaint if you wish, however the adviser's suggestion of simply not logging in again is valid, as inactive accounts are automatically deleted after a while. Providing you have regained control of your Sky Yahoo Mail account, thay would be the simplest thing to do
