Unwanted ads coming through as emails

Within my Sky Yahoo email inbox, I've started receiving ads coming through as emails. The checkbox to the left of the email, which is used to select an email for action, has 'AD' within the box. These are unwaterd ads. Any help appreciated to be able to disable this feature

@KarlD1  As your issue is nt related to Sky Broadband your post has been moved to the correct board.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

I'd imagine that's an unfortunate but inevitable side-effect of Sky using Yahoo as an email platform.

How do you view your emails. app or browser. and which one one? And on what device?

I've not noticed any change to the ads shown. Are you saying they have changed for you?

When vowed on the native email app on my phone, there are no adds of this nature. It's when I sign into Sky emails on my computer

It sounds like they are the default adverts inserted by Yahoo so have you tried using an ad blocker to see if they do then get blocked ?

If these ads are just a single one at the beginning of the inbox, then as @caesarome says they are inserted by Yahoo, I'm surprise you hadn't noticed them before.

You can, as he says block them with an adblocker, but personally I prefer using a browser with one built in. My suggestion would be to try using Brave, it make the web so much more usable.
