I'd be sceptical about that. We've seen that before - incorrectly - from Sky.
Have you tried the alternative ways to access your mail online, that @caesarome and I have suggested?

Sky doesn't support this email services so people that call them about their email accounts do run the risk of getting poor responses from them like this.
What happens when you try to access your account via an app or program like Outlook ?

I've tried signing in at a different location from my home address using their Internet and also using the Incognito page at home and still get the same message:
Uh-oh... We can't sign you in at the moment. Please try again in a while .
I'm furious with them all. 20 years of emails and contacts down the drain.

If they do, and I think it unlikely, the only probable result will be Sky closing the email completely.
Why are you not attempting some of the suggestions from the forum, such as trying to access it with a client such as Outlook?

Just tried to use Outlook. To begin with I had to add the account to be able to use it. After entering the email address I then received a message saying:
'We can't sign you in right now. To prevent unauthorised account access, sign in attempts are being blocked for now. Try again in 15 minutes with this device and browser.'
Will try again in a while but I'm not holding my breath

I tried again last night to access the inbox via Outlook and got the same message.

I've had the same issue as I've got a new iPad and there's a post on here when adding Mail account saying to choose Other rather than Yahoo and you need to click in a link to get a different 16 digit code and this is what you add as password i.e. not usual one! I've just done this and hey ho all my emails are now in Mail. I still can't get Outlook (preferred) to work but I'm glad I can finally acces emails on iPad. Shame on Sky, I've also had same email address for more than 10 years.

Thanks for the info but I don't have that option when trying to log in, I wish I did cos it sounds simple. Once I can access the inbox then I intend to extract the important information, delete the rest and then not use Sky/Yahoo email anymore. I've lost all confidence in them and will be telling everyone I know not to use them.
