It seems many folk have had this option thrust on them with no notice. I use my computer to read my emails as I have some sight issues. I do have a phone, and have done the steps to have a code sent, but nothing is appearing on my phone. I'm at a loss as to what to do. From other folks posts, it seems Sky/Yahoo have no interest in helping anyone retreive their emails.
