Turn off two step verification

I seem to have inadvertently asked for a two step verification. I do not want one as it is really very inconvenient. I have gone to try to remove it but not getting any option, just whether I want to change my verification number.

@Craig-D that's right, I'm afraid. Sky have made it mandatory (again).

Re: Turn off two step verification

Thanks for getting back. Frankly, that is useless. Not you I hasten to add, you have been very helpful.

The two step really doesn't work for me at all. I will have to ring up tomorrow and have a moan. Thanks again.

Re: Turn off two step verification

My Sky email account is used by a couple of people, my wife and me. My wife will log into our PC and if she tries to get into emails she will now have to ask me for a verification code sent to my phone.

I use the PC or my phone and it's annoying for me anyway, without the additional hassle my wife will have when she tries.

@nellietrouble when you've entered your username and password, the next screen shows the last three digits of the mobile number the Verification Code will be sent to. Are they from your mobile number?

If you/your wife uses an app/client (not a browser) to access the emails on the PC, once set up.. it will no longer require verification codes.

Re: Turn off two step verification

It asks me to put my mobile number on.  Which I do. But no codes are sent to my mobile.  It says if I dont receive a code to go to Manage Two step verification in my sky account, but that won't open.

I got into it fine on Monday and haven't requested a two step verification on my account

@mikegee18

Is the last 3 numbers shown on the screen correct for your mobile number, if it is have you checked the spam folder of your messaging app ?
