Suspicious email or genuine?

Hi there,

 

My first post.

 

Today i received an email as follows:

From: SKY TEAM <>
To: 
Sent: Thursday, 5 January 2023, 06:52:31 GMT
Subject: Closing Old Version
 
  Dear User,
 
We recently upgraded our Server to 70 GB inbox space and we will discontinue support for the old version (IE)8. Please log in to your user account to automatically validate E-space upgrade.
 
Your outgoing mails will not be delivered by our server, unless the upgrade is successful
 
Click on login

I am not sure  that this is genuine and dont want to click on the link without checking.
 
I can see nothing on my log in page. Any Advice please?

It's absolutely not genuine. The link takes you to a fraudulent login page designed to capture your Sky password. Mark it as spam but otherwise ignore it.

Thank You - i just phoned sky and the customer services person checked it all out and said it was not genuine.

 

You have ot be so careful these days!
