Strange email

Does anybody know if "mysky@checking-verf.comms" is bogus as I received an email from this address which is telling me a sign-in was noticed from a foreign country? I think it is strange when it ends in .comms??

Here is the email text: 

"We noticed a new sign-in to your account from a strange location, Mexico. If this was you, you don’t need to do anything. If not, kindly log in to help us secure your account via the secure my account link below:"

Of course, I haven't opened it.
