SkyYahoo email account .

My phone was hacked and fraud attempted a week ago. My mobile provider advised I change provider and phone number.- done. Accessing my email account now necessitates receiving on my old now obsolete mobile number a 2 step verification code, which of course can't happen..I need my new mobile number to receive this code, but haven't found a way of doing this.

If you made a separate note of the Recovery Code as Sky recommended when you set it up, you can use it to turn off 2 step verification and then set it up again with the new mobile number.

@Laurie5

To turn off 2FA sign in with the recovery code so at the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.

When you signed up to 2FA you were given a recovery code so if you didn't make a note of it then check the email you were also sent.

Help can also be found here on how to turn this off and/or change your number including using your online account manager:
