Sky mail emails

I have received an email asking me to me verify my account is this scam

It is a scam email as you do not need to verify anything with regards to your email address so mark it as spam and do the same should you be sent some more.

Hi I have noticed in my sent email box an email from me to a random email address with lots of lowercase letters and numbers I certainly didn't create or send the email is this something I should be wary off

It could be that a spammer has sent a spam email out but they have done it to make it look like it has come from you as this is a common trick they do. If you want you could check these for peace of mind:

 

Go to Settings > More Settings > Filters and remove anything that you did not setup.

 

Then go to Settings > More Settings > Mailboxes > Your email address > Reply-to address

 

And again remove anything here that you did not setup.

If there is an email in your sent items you didn't send, it sounds like your account may have been compromised. Change your password, just in case.
