Sky email problems

Is anyone else having to change their yahoo email password on a daily basis. It can be working for hours and then says I have to verify myself as the password is incorrect.  I have spent hours on the phone to sky who sort it only to have the same problem the next day. Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks

@Dj991 I've not seen any other reports of this. Are you logging in via your browser? Or using an email app? Have you tried setting up 2 step verification to see if that stops this happening?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Im using the app on my Samsung phone, but I then try to verify myself through the sky website and get the same answer of an incorrect password.  Im getting paranoid now as I don't know if my email has been compromised.  Do I need to  set up a 2 step verification to stop this.

@Dj991 I'd have the same concern about compromise. I'd certainly try 2 step verification to see if it stops it. If you choose to give it a try, be sure to make a separate note of the Recovery Code that will be shown on screen, as Sky recommends. It's your 'get out of jail card' if 2 step verification goes wrong.

I can't get my emails on my laptop, but I can on my phone.. Would rather have it on my laptop.

If your phone number up to date ?

Have you checked that the text message isn't any in a bin folder on your messaging app ?

 

To turn it off so you can access your emails simply login with the recovery code you were asked to make a note of when setting this up.
