Sign in with two step verification has suddenly stopped working - the code does not arrive no matter how many times I hit Resend
It has worked for years - nothing has changed with the phone number or the email address
I did phone in to Sky - spoke to several people as they transferred me around - the last person said I need to contact Yahoo
I dont believe this is correct as the verification page is at https://accounts.sky.com/sign-in/
Please come back with some options/solution

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAbsolutely no point contacting Yahoo. If you made a separate note of the Recovery Code as Sky recommended, you can use it to turn off 2 step verification. If not, you'll have to ask Sky to turn it off for you. That will take around 3 weeks.

I knew there was no point contacting Yahoo - begs to ask why Sky would give that advice ?
I've had two stepverification for years - working correctly - any recovery code is long forgotten
I will contact Sky again to request support

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Strad+One from other posts on the forum it seems that Sky suggest contacting Yahoo when they don't know how to deal with an issue (advisers appear in general not to be well versed in support for Sky Yahoo Mail).
As an aside, two step verification for Sky Yahoo Mail is relatively recent. I'm not good at remembering historic, but I'd say no more than18 months or so. Others will know more accurately.

Hi all no it's still NOT fixed and they are soooo slow in helping! I've been now told NOT to call until the 6th March! Give it certain number of days etc.
The really annoying thing is I can sign into my account but clicking onto email comes up the same as I do via an email app.

Please enter 2 step verification code we send to your mobile ending (which is correct) im actually with sky mobile anyway. They just cannot send me the text as there doing some security updates etc etc

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe y way around this is to sign in with the recovery code as that will turn this off and allow you access to your email account. So at the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@CraigA1983 we've seen only a handful of reports of this happening, so it appears not to be a general fault. Use your Recovery Code as @caesarome posted, in order to turn off 2 step verification pending a response from Sky.

Hi the recovery code isn't coming threw that's the issue it's normally fine for some reason the texts are not coming to me

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@CraigA1983 the Recovery Code is displayed on screen when you set up 2 step login, with a recommendation (that you have to acknowledge) that you make a separate note of it.
It's also send to your email address, but clearly that's of no use to you at the moment, hence the above recommendation.
It's the Verification Codes that you're not currently receiving.

Absolutely - it says sent / resend , no further joy. It has my last 3 digits the numbers correct. I find it strange how also my Microsoft Outlook is the same it's also only doing it via a Phone call- and NOT an SMS 2 step verification code. Unfortunately it's only the 1 option with sky/yahoo. Once I'm in I'll be turning it OFF.

this issues hasnt been addressed - can anyone at Sky Yahoo Mail advise what to do to correct or when the problem will be resolved
I dont remember the recovery code - it's been that long ago - so that wont be an option

It's very unlikely that Sky will reply here. Until whatever is causing you not to receive the codes is resolved, your best bet is to ask Sky to turn off 2 step login on your behalf. There's a process and a specialist team for that, but you might have to persevere until you find a front line adviser who knows who to pass your call on to. It takes 21 days to turn off.

Can you explain this? Outlook doesn't use 2FA, and what do phone calls have to do with email?
