Re: Sky Mail - missing emails

Thanks for your reply - don't quite understand your answer - emails from a period of time - approx pre August last year don't appear in my account unless I log in online.

I'm trying to find out how your email account is set up on your devices as it could be a POP account which doesn't replicate what you see online as it has to be a IMAP account.

So how is your email account set up or do you login online on your ipad and iphones as well ?

Re: Sky Mail - missing emails

Thank you for your reply - appreciate you are trying to help thank you - I was just unsure of some of the terminology you used.

When I access emails on my iPhone and iPad I just tap on the mail icon and I don't have to sign in - obviously when I log on to my account online I do have to log in.

It is really difficult to help without knowing how the accounts have been set up so all that can be suggested it to delete the accounts then use these settings to set them up again:

Select either "Other" or "Not Yahoo" then use these settings:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server

Server - imap.tools.sky.com
Port - 993
Requires SSL - Yes

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

Server - smtp.tools.sky.com
Port - 465
Requires SSL - Yes
Requires authentication - Yes

You will then need to generate a 16 digit password and use that instead of your usual one, you can do that here:

By default, the Apple Mail app will always use IMAP (or possible PUSH, but I've never understood how that works)

There is however, a problem currently where the Apple Mail apps don't connect to the server correctly (although there is usually a error saying they can't) so I suspect that may be your problem.

You could try using the Yahoo or Outlook apps instead.

Are the new emails appearing in your app?

If it's just older emails you can't see, that sounds like a setting on the app.
