@Karen+lomas

If you select the "Can't sign in with code" link you can enter your recovery code to turn this off then set it up again with your new mobile number. If for whatever reason you didn't make a note of the recovery code you will have to contact Sky to ask them to disable this for you.

@Karen+lomas

Yahoo can not help you as your email account is with Sky and not them.

If you select "Can't sign in with the code" and use the recovery code you made a note of then signing in with this will turn 2FA off which will then allow you to set it up again with your new number if you want to.

If you failed to make a note of the recovery code and because you have a new mobile number you will have to contact Sky about getting this disabled and you should note, it might not be a quick process.

Edit - Your posts have also been merged as you had already started a thread on this issue.

@Karen+lomas the advice given by @caesarome is correct. Only Sky can sort this out for you. There's a process that a Sky back office team can carry out to turn off 2 step verification on your behalf. The issue is that not all Sky front line advisers are aware of it, and know what they need to do to involve the back office team.

We can only advise you to persevere with Sky.

Sadly you have got through to someone who is completely wrong about this so try again and hopefully you will get to talk to someone who can actually help you.

You shouldn't find any posts on here saying to contact Yahoo, if there was we would normally have posted to say they are incorrect.

It's actually a Sky "back office" the request goes to, but yes hopefully it will be actioned today.
