Selecting all messages in email, delete all doesn't work!

Hey all!

I decided to do a declutter of my inbox today and while moving 165,300 emails into my bin folder, I cannot then completely remove them from the bin folder itself ie perm delete. Yes all those emails are facebook notification spams which I recently turned off ( don't ask 😛 ). 

Basically clicking " Select All " within the bin folder and it deletes all 100 messages perfectly. However selecting all messages, then selecting the 160,000+ messages it counts down from 0 to 100%, but nothing changes, all the messages are still there. I tried selecting only EBAY messages for example totalling 1000 emails, and again it counts down but it doesn't delete anything!

Any ideas?

If it isn't working then you might have to do them at 100 at a time. Failing that you could leave them as Yahoo does empty the bin folder automatically each month, perhaps every 30 days or so.

Can you not just use the "Empty Deleted Items folder" option?
