Hi, has anyone been contacted by the company bda-bdrc about adverting research for Sky?
This time it was mattress advert in Sky.
I've had these before and they're questions about have I seen certain adverts etc. Research company acting on behalf of Sky. All looks above board with the e mail.
Having filed one in a week later they've contacted me to say I've won £500 for being picked having submitted my answers.
I've tried calling Sky but nobody can tell me if this is legit or not. Of course my overriding opinion is not but wanted to find out so maybe I can save someone else if it's a scam.
Any advice greatly received.
Thankyou.

How are they saying they will pay this £500 to you?
It does sound too good to be true. We would need more info to definately confim scam or not.

Hi,
Yes their website is pretty comprehensive and says they work with Sky.
The e mail says they can pay me Amazon vouchers or BACS.
Gives me a lady to call and her mobile no.
Just doesn't feel right.
Trying to find the original e mail for the survey

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt doesn't say you will get the £500, it says you will be entered into a competition to be in with a chance of winning it. Really not sure about this as it could be legit but you just can't tell for sure.

Hi.
That's the original e mail from last week which I filled out as a survey. E mailed today direct from the company to say I'd won £500.
That e mail went to spam so that's my concern. Original one has Sky logo etc.
So cautious with these things but if it is legit I obviously don't want to throw away £500.
Called Sky and nobody can tell me if they use this company even though the company website says they do. Just all seems odd.

And if it is a scam I'd obviously like to protect anyone else getting it.

If they are willing to pay with Amazon vouchers, I can't see a problem with that, but don't give them full details of your bank account.
How are you receiving these emails, it's much harder to spot scams when using a phone instead of a desktop browser.

I received an email stating I had won £500 after completing a survey wrt Sky. I then got a phone call asking if I had received the email and I said yes. They then asked if I would like cash or Amazon vouchers, the lady stated most winners want vouchers to avoid scams. I opted for vouchers still believing this was some kind of scam. Within 10 minutes I received a code to Amazon and £500 was instantly in my credit\gift section. Please note the lady did say if I didn't reply to the email before the day ended then the prize would be put back in for another draw.
Merry Crimbo everyone
