Scam email deactivating mailbox

I've just received the below  text in an email which I'm sure is a scam as it does not appear to be from an official SKY email:

We are deactivating all mailbox users that are still using the old Version of sky.com Mailbox.  And your email is still using the old version.

Please tap the blue button below to upgrade your mailbox to the latest version, and get 25GB free data space with a more organized mailbox to avoid deactivation.

I haven't clicked on the link enclosed with the email.  Presume this is a scam??  Has anyone else received this please?

Thanks

Yes, it's an attempt to scam you. There is no 'old' version of 'Sky.com mailbox'.

These get reported on here all the time so mark it as spam and do the same should you be sent anymore.

The above is what I have frequently received.  Presumably it is a scam.  Scammers must get something out of it, I wonder what they get out of this one??????????

@Skyeye1

I've rejected your image as it appears to include the link that presumably the ne'er-do-well's want you to click on.

@Skyeye1

They would get you to install their software on your device and then get control of it so could see what some of your login details are and the like...
