Recent changes... slower access and it keeps signing out when not in use.

I'm having sign in problems, it's taking ages these days and worse it keeps signing me off if I'm multitasking on other tabs! Whats gone wrong canI go back to the old way?

You mean signing in via sky.com? Try clearing your browser cache.

Hi Mark... my first thought was a big tidy up, it didn't make any difference. Not sure why that would effect the new keep signing out thing either?

Is this on a mobile device? On my older tablet, it takes an age for the username box to appear after hitting sign in. Not so bad on desktop or a later tablet . I've always been signed out of the forum (not sure about sky.com) if I leave the page open but switch to a different app temporarily. Beyond that, I don't know the cause, I'm afraid,

Sorry poor humour there, I'm old but have worked with computers since DOS... I'm on a desktop and I can get everything else without trouble... The systen wanted me to set up a 2 stage varification to which I've said no... I just don't see the need for it when my pooter is behind locked doors and I don't do interwebby stuff on my phone, because I'm partially sighted and can't see the tiny words on the small screen 😉

Not to mention I have predigital fingers that touchscreens don't seem to work 🙂

Yes the forum signs you out after a couple of hours. The email sign in lasts for days. (in my experience)

Even though I have the same sign in for both.

Hi Jayach...

It's very strange but this all started when they "look" changed.

I assume that Sky marketing department has done the equivient that the supermarkets do by moving stuff arond for the heck of it... woe betide those that think don't fix what ain't broke eh!

However ... THIS afternoon I once again signed out of everything and purged everyting as I did less than 36 hours ago and (AT THE MOMENT) normal (ish) service has been resumed... funny that eh?

I've repeated the clean up 36 hours later and sign in to emails seems stable at the moment... however auto sign in to my sky account is broken. Not sure if I want/need to try fix this but in the past I had it set up just to apease the "Sky" Interwebby gods... 😉

... That didn't last long.

It'd doing it all over again.

I'm convinced it's to do with this 2 stage varification they're trying to push... I don't want it or need it!
