Migration of email
Help!
Some time last year I came searching for answers in relation to living overseas in New Zealand and not being able to access my Sky email. Which I have had since around 2008. I have lived overseas for a number of years. And last year, like some, I recieved the access denied you don't have permission error.
I use the Yahoo mobile app - and web and outlook. App, no real major issues. Web version, i can only access it with a VPN to say I am in the UK - some times it did from a few other countries. Outlook was intermittent. I noticed it would certainly work when i VPN as UK but other times it worked ok.
I've now had it done again, this time iv'e had to re-factory set Outlook. I'm trying to download emails again. I'm absolutely annoyed, sick and frustrated at SKY.
Now the rant is over - P.S sky need to look at this issue!
I think I need to get rid of Sky Yahoo. Can I migrate all of my inbox (my data) to another service, pottentially opening up my own domain and 365 etc and just moving everything to that?
I am just absolutely sick to death of email access issues! I am sorry, but you should be able to access your email anywhere in the world!

Yes, they are your emails so you are free to use whatever email service you want.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.

I suspect @Matthew+New+Zeala was asking how, not if. (but I could be wrong)
The best (possibly only) method would be to collect the emails from your Sky account using POP with your new email service
That will take everything from the inbox, but won't duplicate folders nor contact lists.

Re: Migration of email
Thanks - yes @jayach I am thinking on the most effective how. Ideally I want my folders to come accross.
Is it an easy sollution. Ideally wouldn't mind a New Zealand mail hosting company to do it - but I have a feeling it would be expensive and they may run into issues taking the mail from the UK server to a NZ based server.

Re: Migration of email
It doesn't have to be New Zealand based, just someone globally based.
Which would make something like Gmail presumably ideal.
I don't really understand the restrictions Sky are placing on location for their email, except perhaps for those countries well know for spam.
