Incoming emails

Most of my incoming emails are directed to a UNREAD box and not INCOMING box. This is not every email but is about 90%. The filters look correct to send incoming to INCOME box.

Assuming you're logging in via sky.com, rather than using an email app, the unread items in your Inbox should automatically be duplicated in your Unread box. No filter should be necessary. Check that any filters in place are ones you've set up (setting up additional filters is typically what a hacker will do) and are doing what they should.

@Wee+Bobby

If emails are showing as unread, it should also show what folder they are actually in.

Re: Incoming emails

I am not logging in via sky.com as there is no UNREAD box and the emails do not appear at all. I am going direct into my email app.

Re: Incoming emails

I am using a Dell all in one PC. The app is Yahoo mail originally set up via Sky.

This is very confusing, your posts seem to contradict each other. I've never heard of an INCOMING box, it's usually an Inbox.

Assuming your PC is running Windows, I don't know of any Yahoo app. There is one for Android and iOS.

Could you give us more info, and possibly a link to it?

Re: Incoming emails

Sorry if my tenminology is not correct I am no computer buff. You are correct it is the INBOX I am having touble with as most incoming emails go to UNREAD although they show as being in the INBOX but are not there unless I transfer them. I think the filters are set correctly as Sky tech support helped me but could not get round the issue (too hard box).

Disregard my mention of App, I can go into my emails three ways, 1) via outlook but this has no UNREAD box and the emails are simply missing. 2) I can go in via my Sky ID and then enter yahoo mail. 3) I have a direct link from my desktop. In both cases of 2 and 3 there is an UNREAD box with the incoming emails, which is the problem.

Firstly, the UNREAD box doesn't actually exist, it's just Sky|Yahoo's way of giving you easy access to all your unread emails wherever they are. That is why it is not duplicated in Outlook.

You mention filters. There should not be any filters, unless you set them up, so delete any that are there.

So the question has to be why do the emails show as being in the inbox when you look in UNREAD, but aren't there unless you move them?

If after deleting any filters (if there are any) it doesn't start working correctly we will need to think of what else could be causing it
