Help to access emails

I don't have a recovery code for my emails - had the account for many years. I also don't have the mobile number any more. 
Does anyone know how I can sort this as I have spoken to Sky "customer help" and it was not helpful at all - they told me to go on here and ask for help! 
I have to access tickets on the email and I'm starting to panic.

Please, is there anyone out there who can assist to recover my account and do a better job than Sky???

@Selina07 have you already set up 2 step login on your email account, which means a Verification Code is sent to your (old?) mobile number when you try to log in?

Yes, I haven't had my old number for many years so can not access the code.

Sorry @Selina07 , I'm a little confused here. How have you been logging for the many years since no longer having your mobile? What has changed recently that means you now need to input a code?

Because I couldn't locate my password and needed to log on to my laptop. I changed the password - the rest is history as they say

As Sky have (temporarily) removed the compulsory requirement for 2FA, and you (presumably) know your new password exactly what message do you get if you try to log in here: https://sky.com/signin/email/

Post a screenshot, if possible, obscuring any personal details.
