Help about yahoo mails

A couple of days ago all my emails I sent kept bouncing back. Phoned sky yesterday spent 3 hours on phone with 4 different advisors who were more interested in selling me fibre broadband, but we're off no use. Uninstalled Yahoo app 10.5.0 and installed latest version 6.16.2 still can't get in to my account. Spoke again with sky lady admitted nothing she could do. Can anyone help?

@Cassa

Give this a try:

Login to your online account:

https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email/

Go to Settings (the screw icon on the right hand side) > More Settings > Filters and remove anything that you did not setup.

Then go to Settings > More Settings > Mailboxes > Your email address > Reply-to address

And again remove anything here that you did not setup.

If you have had to make a change then logout and change your password:

https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/

You might want to give some thought to setting up two step verification as per this:

https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-yahoo-mail/two-step-verif/articles/two-step-verification

If you do set this up it in important that you make a note of and keep safe the recovery code.

Re: Help about yahoo mails

Hi thanks for the help, Unfortunately I got as far as settings but I do not have any tablets that says more settings so unfortunately I came to a halt.

I am now waiting on Yahoo to get back to me as all the sky advisers want to talk about is sky fibre, except for one lady yesterday and one this morning. Really thinking of leaving sky, completely after 26 years, cancelled my multi room this morning. I think more cancellations may be on the way. Thanks again

@Cassa generally speaking Yahoo won't help with Sky Yahoo Mail issues.

What error is shown in the bounce message sent to you when an email fails to send?

Re: Help about yahoo mails

Recipient not found. Yahoo and sky both suggested that I install Yahoo mail new app version10.5.0 can't even log in. Sky encourages you to use Yahoo then leaves you floundering. To busy trying to sell fibre broadband. Need to get back to basics never mind streaming channels.

@Cassa you might need to use an app password instead of your usual Sky password in the Yahoo app settings. There's a link to the app password generator in Sky's help here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/problems-accessing-sky-mail-from-your-email-app

Are you able to send emails without problem if you log in direct to Sky's servers here: www.sky.com/signin/email ?

When it redirects to Yahoo what happens when you then try to login with your Sky details, I ask this as Yahoo runs the Sky email service.

Re: Help about yahoo mails

I get a screen at the top of days Sky/Yahoo, below it a red triangle with an exclamation mark in the centre and a message saying something sent wrong,, but I can see sky in the background. I'm going out in about an hour, this is stressing me out .
