Good for a month ?

In the 2 step login process it gives me the option to tick a box saying that i agree to have my credentials good for a month, so I dont have to keep inputtting codes.

However the next time i log in to email it still asks anyway, so not saving credentials for a month, even if the second log in is only minutes apart.

Why have the tick box ???????

VERY ANNOYING
