Finding older emails

HI, Just wondering if theres a guide for using the search on SkyYahoo Mail? 

I'm getting increasingly annoyed with trying to find older emails. This has come about again today since i need to find a reciept for my washing machine, it isnt 10 years old, i know where i bought it from, i know the model no etc. I know i had an email reciept for it. If i put any of this information into the advanced search it comes back with 'nothing to show here'. I've since experimented with the search and i can only say its useless! 

This is now an issue since my warranty period on products seems to be longer than Yahoo keep my emails.

I've had my email account with Sky since at least 2008 why can i never find older emails? Is there a better way to find them?

Do you keep all your emails in the inbox or other folders, if the later have you tried selecting one of these other folders then tried using the search. Apart from that you might have to go through them manually to see if you can locate it.
