Emails have disappeared

all my emails from yesterday until may this year have suddenly disappeared. I don't know how to find them or if they will come back? 
I tried going on my browser to look as I was just in my email app on my iPhone.

if this a problem that will sort its self out? I have tried to contact sky but as I'm not te account holder on my main sky account they won't talk to me about my email account which is my personal one

If they're no longer there when you log in via your browser,  they're likely,to be gone for good I'm afraid. Yahoo appears to have this habit of randomly deleting emails, which is regularly reported here.

If they are restored then it would be advisable not to store all your emails in your inbox but instead set up seperate folders to keep them in.
