Email to opening this evening

This evening my email is arriving in my client on the ipad - but is not opening - anyone else having this issue ?  Or knows what my issue might be - it's a new standard  ipad and I'm still finding new features?

Do you login to the Sky websiye or use an app to access your emails and what is happening when you try to access an email ?

Hi Caesarome

My email comes in and diverts to my client Thunderbird -I'm going to try my PC later and see if the same is happening there - but what used to happen (and has been happening successfully for the last few months I have had my new ipad) is that it comes in, and I usually open it under email on my ipad - if I later open up my email client Thunderbird on my PC it immediately wipes off my ipad and appears on thunderbird.

What is happening now is really odd - I can access my mail online via my ipad on Sky/Yahoo in my Inbox there where they are all showing  - but all the emails are going to my email on the ipad and I can see the 'titles' but I can't open any - they just keep 'buffering' - so why are they still in my Inbox online AND part showing in my email account but not actually leaving Sky/Yahoo online as they used to ?  Previously they would come in to my Inbox and immediately leave the online Inbox and go to my email section of my ipad - currently they are in both and the email is not fully leaving ???  Very Weird?

I can't say why the iPad is behaving strangely, but Thunderbird removing them from the iPad is because you are using POP on Thunderbird. Either set Thunderbird to "leave a copy of emails on the server", or preferably set it to use IMAP instead of POP. That will leave them on both devices.

Thank Jayach - methinks I am going to need some time to work out how to do this - I was a tuallyquite happy with the way POP worked removing my emails from the ipad once I switched to the computer, but I'vebeen using the iPad more and more and itdidendup being v. Annoying

Email NOT opening for days now.  I have deleted my account on the ipad and reinstated...still the same. I have changed passwords, a few times, but nothing is making any difference?

I can still access all online on the Sky/Yahoo mail section, all mail is still going to my email on the ipad, but NOT opening, just buffering, AND  still  remaining in the SKy/Yahoo section online - until I go onto my PC then all disappear as usual from my iPad and transfer to my Thunderbird client perfectly normally, and I can use my email as normal - but this is so so annoying as I use the iPad in other places, particularly in the mornings, and don't use the PC as much.

BTW Jay... I am using IMAP not POP.

Could this be something I have done wrongly on my iPad that is causing this... any  further ideas please - anyone? I'm 76, well educated, and use a PC for working at home, so I'm not a beginner but would never describe myself as a tech person... the ipad is new this year - 'standard' ipad and with all the latest updates... HELP please

OK - scrub all that... I just had a new software update in and downloaded that - and I can now open my emails in my email box - Whoopee - so it was **** Microsoft all the time!!

Glad it is now working for you @Sue+LLD , although if Thunderbird is still removing them from the iPad I can't understand how that is happening if it's not using POP.

It only removes them when I open my mail client on the PC and the only the inbox - the sent boxes and others remain - I've never understood why even tho I've searched Settings, etc, - but overall that suits me - I'd love the Sent mails to go too, but maybe I'll work it out eventually?
