Email messages not being received

Help

 

I have stopped receiving emails from about 8am this morning apart from one that randomly came in at 10am.  I am able to send emails and they are being received but I can't receive any.  I have logged in via the web and still no new messages to be seen so I don't think it is an app problem.

Just sent myself an email and received it promptly so there doesn't seem to be a general problem. Might be worth checking your Spam and Trash mailboxes.

 

Perhaps some are being delayed for some reason.

Same happening with me! Nothing today even though I know emails have been sent!

It is probably down to one of these Yahoo glitches that happen from time to time as you might find your emails start arriving over the next few days.

I've had exactly the same problem. Several e-mails (including test mail from family members) not received, but one e-mail just received randomly and one or two others during the day. This is a big issue for me, as people are mailing me invoices for payment and they are not getting through. Seems to be a ridiculous situation!

My Sky email account is not receiving emails - but can send

My Sky email account has, strangely!, just received the one email today.  I can send fine.  I have tried viewing in a browser logging on through sky - and yahoo - same result as my Blue Mail app on my phone.  I have tried reloading the mail account on the Yahoo app - still no joy.  I have run out of ideas!!  Anyone have any new ideas or fixes that I could try?

As you can see @John9575 you are not the first person to report this issue today and Down Dector here reports 70% of people reporting a fault with Yahoo email is reporting issues with receieving emails:

Not received any emails all day and on a quite day I get at least 30.

No emails received today, including test emails sent by family. Frustrating as I'm expecting some important emails, hopefully it will sort itself as I've tried all the suggestions I can find!

Thanks all - just an update from me - So at about 6pm last night i had a few through and that at 10pm loads and loads of them - some duplicates.  All seemed normal in the morning and then during the day today some have disappered but not all.  Very bizarre - i feel for people who have said they are using for their business as even for my personal life it bought home to me how reliant i am on tech.

Sky specifically exclude business use of all their products, including Sky Yahoo Mail. Anybody choosing to ise it for business purposes does so at their own risk. Knowing Yahoo's history of security breaches and outages,  I wouldn't!

Hard to know without some detail. What's happening when you try? Error message?
