Email is this a scam

Hi I've had a email from.

accountprotection.microsoft.com

The email address  is longer but am unable to post the whole address due to security reason it has said

saying someone has tryed accessing my sky account. Is this a genuine email as I don't know why it has come from Microsoft,  not sky or yahoo

@Adrian555  100% scam as Sky dont send email from microsoft and any email they do send will address you by name.

In addition they would never ask you to click on links.

Just mark as spam and delete.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
