I have had the same email accounut for 17 years with Sky. (@sky.com)
Although no longer a customer (excessive tree growth meant we no longer got a satelleite signal), we were ensure that we wouldbe able to keep our email addresses.
My bank accounuts, subscriptions, and a host of other things all go through this email address.
Contacted Sky, and they say there's no record of the email address ever existing. What should I do to recover my account?

If Sky say they can't trace the email address, I'm not sure we can help.
Are you trying to log in via the Sky.com website? What's the error message?

The email has not been inactive... this is the message:

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDefinitely not deleted, just locked for some reason as @caesarome says. (happened to me as well, caused by my new ISP causing my I.P, address to change multiple times in a very short period. Caused a security flag at Sky|Yahoo and Microsoft)
Sky can definitely re-enable access (as @Mark39 says), but it can be a pain finding an agent with the correct knowledge and you will need to pass security. (not always easy on a long standing address)
Are you able to log in here, if so you may be able to clear it yourself.
