I've not seen that before (perhaps why Sky are struggling to help with it) and I wonder if it's an indication that your Sky Yahoo Mail account has been hacked, or your device infected with a virus. Does the pop up say anything about what you need to do?

Also I am trying to access through Edge as my email has not worked for me via live mail for some time. I have tried Firefox but no success.

Until you speak to Sky and resolve your problem, you are not likely to be able to access via any method.

As @Mark39 says your account has probably been "hacked" (did you answer an email asking you to verify/upgrade your account) or you have malware on your device.

Re: Cannot access Emails

I can obviously sign in to this with my sky user name and password. I have Norton paid up and installed so would not expect to have any hacking problems.

Re: Cannot access Emails

Sorted my issue out. My sky id was locked and was reset over the phone.

@Gordon+Bourne

As you said earlier, it's Yahoo who say you have breached the T&C's not Sky.

I only said hacking as that is the word people use. (I was debating really hard before I used it)

What I really suspect is actually phishing and that you have given your credentials to scammers. A virus checker will not help avoid that.

Unfortunately Yahoo won't deal with you as you are a Sky customer, so really only Sky will be be able to resolve it.

You could try changing your password and hope whatever Yahoo are seeing stops and they unblock your account. Otherwise I can't see how you can get your email working again.

@Gordon+Bourne I agree,with @jayach: this is unlikely to be hacking by force. It's much easier and much more common nowadays to trick the unwary into giving away their login credentials by asking them to complete a fraudulent online form.

There,are numerous examples on the forum of customers being asked to 'upgrade' their Sky Yahoo Mail or to log in to 'verify' their account, neither of which are genuine and lead to their credentials being captured by a spammer or fraudster.

Re: Cannot access Emails

Now resolved, account today was locked. Contacted Sky and it was automatically unlocked. Had to put Yahoo app Authenticator code in to allow Outlook to be authenticated.
Yahoo mail still not working  unable to access on Yahoo website.

Re: Cannot access Emails

My sky email is the same. Cannot access.  When I eventually got through to a real person, half hour of call got me nowhere. They said that I would get a call back. That was 6 hours ago. Still no emails. Its keeps say enter password. I am!!

@Mariett09

If you look around this forum you will see you are not the only one who is having this issue as Yahoo who run Sky emails are having issues and have been for the last few days.

Re: Cannot access Emails

I use Outlook 2019, and can now access emails after using the Authenticator app, a 16 digit code. Enter this code in place of outlook password.

 I still cannot acces emails using my browser.

Outlook doesn't support OAuth2 which. Is why you need to use an app password. What's the error when you try to log in using your browser via Sky.com?

Re: Cannot access Emails

Mind says use email account on the Web app. Don't know what that is.
