Can’t get into my email account

Although I am not a sky customer now but have an email with them it says they don’t recognise my user name or password.

any help would be appreciated

How long ago did you last log in? I believe you have to log in periodically for it to continue to be active (I don't know a time frame if this is the case).

I think it had to be 6 months and if you didn't login online then the account would be deleted but if this was going to happen I believe Sky would have emailed you via the recovery address set up on the account.
