Do you access your emails using a browser, via sky.com?

If so, and your Inbox contains only the last week's emails, it's the result of a Yahoo glitch, I'm afraid. There's no setting to change how long your email remain in your Inbox - by default they should never be automatically deleted.

If you move them from your Inbox to a separate folder, they should be OK (by the grace of Yahoo!)

Thank You Mark

So who do you report a "glitch" to?

That would be Yahoo but in truth you are better of not using your inbox to store your emails in.

You might want to read and perhaps give this a try:

You would need to report it to Sky. However I suspect the likelihood of Sky or Yahoo taking action is small - disappearing emails has been a feature for several years.

Have you made any changes recently?

Are you accessing your mail via a client using POP, as that could be the cause?

Very strange then.

Personally I would change the password, just in case your account has been compromised.

I have the same issue but a whole years emails have disappeared since yesterday.
todays are still coming through but then it jumps to June 2021. I have sent a restore request which it said would take 8 hours that has now passed and still no sign of the recovered emails.

Sadly this does happen with Yahoo so if you had these emails in the inbox then it really is worth moving them out to other folders as it seems to happen more with the inbox for some reason.

If you move mail from your Inbox to other folders, they won't sync with Outlook. The "restore emails" request doesn't have a "they disappeared" drop down.

I phoned sky, they say they can't help with Yahoo mail. I phoned Yahoo and they say they can't help with Sky emails.

The wonders of modern science!!

Predictable, unfortunately.

Unless I am missing something here if you have set your email account up as an IMAP one via Outlook there would it seen in Outlook should be duplicated online.

Yes, for IMAP folders would sync. POP, no.
