Adding a new contact

Usually when I add a new contact there is no problem. However no matter how many times I add a particular email address sky will not register it. It says the contact does not exist although it does.

I cannot add any new contacts now. I follow the procedure, but Yahoo is not picking them up. After completing the details it says no matches exist. I'm using an Apple Mac. It used to be fine until recently.

I can now manage to add the new contact to a list(group) & edit it, but it still says it does not exist when I search for the contact. Also when you type in the first few letters the rest of the address usually appears, but this doesn't happen. I have to enter the whole address each time.

I've tried using a different browser, but without success. This means that in future I shall always have to type in the full address of any new contact each time I write to them - unless I use the reply function from an earlier email from them. Contacts saved earlier still work.

If you are using a browser to access your email, the current apple problems will not affect you.

It is still working for me, but the email addresses, do not just come from my contacts, it seems to learn them from my recieved emails.

Adding a contact does not work. You add it, but then when you later search for this contact under contacts it's not there & it states that no match exists.  You can edit it & add it to a list however. It just does not exist as a contact or when you compose.

I tried switching to basic mail. All my new contacts appear here under contacts, but when I go to compose they don't exist. When I switch to latest version of mail they also don't exist. If I click on them under contacts in basic mail the address does then appear in the to box. For some reason compose is not picking up new contacts - nor is search.

I had no problems adding a contact. but none of my actual contacts appear in the list when composing an email.

To get it to add a contact address to the "To" list, click on the email address.
