There's a known, intermittent problem with the Apple Mail app which has been reported here a number of times. It doesn't arise with other mail apps. Until Apple fix it, you could either log in directly to the server or use a different mail app. I appreciate that neither option is particularly attractive.

Re: Account Error: Yahoo Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed
Thanks @Mark39, Yes I can log in via the Sky link & it has refreshed but this isn't the way I usually check my emails. This has been happening for a good while now and is an intermittent problem. It seems to be happening more frequently now and is rather annoying.

@Mark39 I use Apple products so it's set up as a mail account in my settings and has been for about 15 years now with no issues. Sorry, I'm not very tech savvy 😏

Re: Account Error: Yahoo Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed
Thanks @Mark39 I have just spotted a similar thread saying the same thing. Yes it is annoying but at least I know it's not something I've messed up! At least I have a workaround now that I can use if I'm waiting on urgent emails. Much appreciated 👍

Re: Account Error: Yahoo Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed
This is just the most annoying problem ever!
I was recently in Majorca for 2 weeks and didn't have a single problem across various devices but back in the UK, I see "cannot connect to server" multiple times a day.
I've now come to the conclusion that Sky are deliberately restricting access for UK customers but why???

@glynsaul if you're using the standard Mail app on an Apple device, see the post marked as the answer.
Are you able to log in here: rhttps://www.sky.com/signin/email ?

I'm aware of the answer and all the alternatives but that doesn't stop it being annoying, especially when it all works properly in Spain.
How can it be Apple's problem when it's working fine overseas but not in the UK?

Because other email apps accessing Sky's email servers continue to work without issue. It's only Apple's Mail app that's problematic.
It seems to be an intermittent problem. So,etimes it,works, other times it doesn't- regardless of where you are.
