My wife and I share the same email address. With 2step verification the code is sent to my mobile number only. If I'm not around my wife cannot look at her emails on the laptop. How can we get the code sent to her mobile as well?

We both share the laptop with my login only .
You have a few options then.
The first would be to use an app/client, as I suggested. If you don't have a particular one you would prefer, New Outlook is available on Windows 10 and should be easy to set up. If you have problems, we can help talk you through it.
Using the 'remember me for 30 days' as suggested by @Mark39 should minimise the number of times your wife will be unable to access it until you return.
The third option would allow your wife full access to your texts on the laptop, but that would mean she could send texts as you as well as receive them. If you would be OK with that then check out:
Just ask if you need more info on those options

Re: 2 step verification on sky email
The only way would be for you to send her a message with the code as there is no other way to get it second to two mobiles.

@Tonka+Tours you can't I'm afraid. You might be able to minimise the inconvenience by ticking the 'remember me for 30 days' box, and then not logging out when you've finished with using your email account.

Re: 2 step verification on sky email
My advice would be to use an app/client on the laptop instead of a browser, that will only require the code during install, and from then on will not require it again.
What operating system is the laptop?
Do you both share the laptop, or do you have one each, and if you share it do you each have your own logins?
