2 - STEP VERIFICATION BACK ON !!!!!
What is going on? SKY/ YAHOO have yet again introduced the 2 Step verification process for all users, without their permission. And last time this happened, it took several days to be reversed, after SKY had apparently changed the login process for everyone, in error. And if you didn't have access to a mobile phone, you were completely stuffed. And before the more experienced users tell me to use the email recovery code to cancel the 2 step process, this is no longer working. Any ideas ? Thank you.

Re: 2 - STEP VERIFICATION BACK ON !!!!!
If you are you using Sky email by logging into the website then this is back on from earlier in the week as you have discovered.
What you can do is when you do login select the "Remember me" box and do not logout or clear your Sky cookies when exiting your browser as you should then be automatically logged in for the next 30 days - that is the best you will get.

Re: 2 - STEP VERIFICATION BACK ON !!!!!
Thank you for your prompt and very useful reply. The only problem is we have two SKY users in my property; each user has their own login and we are both using our home desktop. So it's really important that I logout when I'm finished, otherwise we run into all sorts of issues. Of course, we have no problem with phone access. I can't believe SKY have done this again and not sought our permission or explained anything to customers, in advance. Perhaps one of our 'superusers' could check things out with SKY and report back. Many thanks.

Re: 2 - STEP VERIFICATION BACK ON !!!!!
@NicholasLBH Sky define Sky Yahoo Mail as a variable service in the terms and conditions you agreed to. That means, I'm afraid, that they can change it as they see fit. No additional permissions required.
I'm fairly certain we Superusers share the view that its implementation has not been the best. We've made Sky aware.

You could get around this by using different web browsers but otherwise if you are using the same one then due to your setup you will have to loogout and therefore have the code sent to your phone the next time you want to access it.

If you each had your own Windows accounts, which for various reasons is the best way to share one PC, each account will have it's own browser cache/cookies so there should be no clash.
To test, I've just logged out of my laptop, and back in again, and I didn't need to get a 2FA code.
Just a thought.
