@kittyc puting a booster in the area with poor connection to the hub wont work instead try moving the boister closer to the hub ideally halfway between where you need the boost and the hub.

I've also recently moved to a Sky Max modem. Wiring to the modem has been a problem from the start; WiFi usually fine . My XBox 360 is beside the modem and will not connect either by WiFi or direct wiring. Have tried 2 separate wires with no success. Lowered the security on the modem; still no success. Have not had a problem with previous modems.
