Yes, IPv6 is delivered natively as IPoE to the CPE without any additional encapsulation or translation.

@user4879 it depends  on what you mean by "native IP6" however by default the SR203 (and the earlier ER110 and ER115) support IP6 on the internal networks as well as IP4. The settings are in Advanced/LAN IP setup. Sky were one of the early adopters of IP6.

Re: sky use native IPv6?

Okay thanks, im not sure either.  I heard some internet providers don't utilize ipv6 properly which can cause issues.

On another question, what can effect max attainable download speeds? What would cause max attainable download speed to drop?

For FTTC that's almost entirely down to the copper line distance (and quality of the line itself) from the fibre cabinet, dictated by some fairly fundamental physics: if the quality of the line drops due to some external factor then speed will suffer.

@user4879 Another reason why FTTC speeds can fall is due to crosstalk between lines as more in a cabinet are sold. That is usually factored into the guarantee speed given for a specific line.

Full fibre is effectively immune from interference or loss of speed due to line length.

Re: sky use native IPv6?

Could max attainable speed also drop if you were to have instability on your line and DLm acted on it?

@user4879 yes the DLM system is always active and designed to manage the noise margin raising that, which reduces bandwidth, when line conditions cause the number of errors or line drops to exceed the programmed limits in a 24 hour period and lower the margin iincreasing bandwidth when conditions improve. Openreach are normally reluctant to deal with faults while speeds are above the gurantee speed for the line.

If you want some information on your line post your hub's stats.see Find your Sky Broadband router statistics

Re: sky use native IPv6?

thanks for the information.

I did have issues with my speed. I managed to be put through to a sky tech who could do a dlm reset and my connection is fixed now.
