sky router change

Just finished a sky contract and agreed a new one. They have now sent me a new router and the new contract has better fibre speed.My question is simply can i re-use my old password and router  code so the i do not lose my smart home connections.tried thei tech man and he is stll checking..

In theory you can log into the new Hub using its administrator credentials and then change the broadcast SSID (network name) and WiFi Key (password) to match that of the previous model.

 

On the new white Max Hub this is done through the My Sky app.
