service security updates and am i free to switch away from sky as bill gone up substantially

received letter stating  i will no longer receiive service and security updates. also my overall sky package costs gone up about 30% over the last 3 years or so. Am i still tied in or can I move elsewhere

@Barry732 The router that is no longer going to receive updates will be replaced by Sky for one that does(its a staggered rollout exchange).

If you want to leave then you can do so penalty free within 30 days of receiving the notification of the April price increase, after that 30 days has passed you may be charged early termination fees if you are within a min imum term period.

If this is related to your broadband hub then at the bottom of the letter should be a website link that you can use to order a free replacement hub.

 

You will need to call Sky if you want to cancel and you are still within the minimum term on a contract to see what they say.
