rescheduling an earlier engineer visit

We recently switched to sky broadband as our previous provider took so long to fix our internet. We were told that we will be a priority as we have a baby at home, we were given 10/08 as our activation date and was told that we don't need an engineer as sky is already installed in the property. We had a problem with the router(no green light  on internet and voice), we were advised to book an engineer visit, appointment given was 18/08. It will be the 3rd week  that we don't have internet since we moved to the new house! Is there anyway that we can be visited by the engineer earlier as they have promised from the start that we are a priority because of the baby. We have topped up on our mobile phones additional data twice already!

The provided date will be the earliest available. To be quite honest I've not previously heard of having a baby being a reason for a priority visit.

Then the person I talked to during the initial conversation with sky, lied.I guess we can't do anything but to wait.

I didn't say they lied. I said I've never heard of that being a factor before.
