Hi,
My issue is same as https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/Old-Broadband-disconnected-before-fibre-fully-installed-how-c... except I was with Talktalk. My Talktalk connection stopped working 30-May. External box for fibre is installed but still waiting for ONT which Openreach have postponed mutiple times from 29-Apr to 10-Jun (don't know if they will turn up and no reason in the notes why it is being delayed).
BT wholesale checker says WBC FTTP is available (see attached pic) Does this mean a Sky engineer can do the job of fitting ONT? Or can I do something on my own (run it through window gap, buy a router off marketplace?) Absolutely livid now
Note: Both me and partner WFH. As soon as mobile hotspot is turned on, my 4G connection goes "nope, I won't let you do that" (tried with O2, Vodafone, EE). So stuck with no internet, with no childcare at short notice, have to take leave from work, which I started 3 weeks ago - great first impression !
Thanks,
Vvr

Just received a text update from Sky with 19-Jun as new date 😤

Looks like a congested underground duct somewhere between the openreach access on the road and your property

'UG congested duct', as @cookiemonsteruk indicates. The CSP may be in place but that's not much further forward if there's no cable in it.
Unfortunately this could result in considerable delay if there's no viable route for the new optical drop cable: it means Openreach can't just send a regular team.

Is there any sign of a cable leaving the ground and entering the 'external box'?

Yes I can see 2 wires (OR engineer did say he drew it from the telecom pole right on property edge), I'll upload picture but my mobile data connection won't let me now

@TimmyBGoodhere is the external box pic

That wouldn't be typical FTTP delivery. Can you see if either cable has a thin yellow line running down it?
Alternatively, if you can gently open the CSP enclosure, you could see if there's optical cable in there.

@TimmyBGoodHere is the picture of CSP enclosure opened up(i see a white wire coming up through)

OK, so you've got both an unusually large copper cable, of which one pair was carrying your previous broadband, and an optical fibre (the white spool on the central spindle)
That probably means the delay is in having availability of a fusion splicing team to complete the circuit to the ONT.

Thanks @TimmyBGood so all I can do now is wait. Thanks very much for the debug.
long P.S: The 19th June date came about today after I replied to an email received from Openreach people to sign e-documents for the external box job. Since these were actual people, I'm guessing they might have chased it up to get a date (is what I'm guessing since the engineer replied to the email with date) otherwise this would have very well been lost into the ether.
I also saw similar issue with BT customer where BT sent a 4g router and sim for the delay (https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Fibre-broadband/FTTP-Installation/m-p/2310392#M348550) but all I got from Sky is lots of hot air and finger pointing at Talktalk (they shouldn't have dunnit)

Yes: that's something BT offers. Other ISPs don't.
