no internet connection
since the storms saturday i have had no internet, therefore no tvs either
i have done all the checks, my router is on but the internet button is off and voice is orange
my neighbours also have no internet and phone or no phone, the lightening struck the pole.
i have an ngineer booked for sunday but thats not good enough. i have spoken to open reach and they say they cant check my line and sky have to
i have to work from home and this is ridiculous, i cant get through on the phone.
if an engineer comes sunday then its an issue with the line it will take longer, could it be my router?
i need to actually speak to comeone

Re: no internet connection
@nikkihorton the engineer slot is likely to be the earliest Openreach can offer violent thunderstorms do a gret deal of damage to the phone network so you will be in a fairly long queue. You are buying a domestic service from Sky which you have chosen to use for work but that does not give you any priority.
You will be paid compensation after 2 working days without a service see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com
If you want to speak to Sky you will have to call them but it is unlikely they can get anything done quicker .

Re: no internet connection
Hi the engineer is from sky not openreach, they are saying they wont check my line as i have my internet provided by sky, which i find odd as like you said sky are only the provider the line is owned by openreach.
