myrouter.io This site can’t be reached but the internet is accessable

I wanted to login to my sky router and typed the usual 192.168.0.1 and it redirected me to myrouter.io and then announced 'This site cannot be reached'.

The internet is working fine, I can access everything as normal, I just cannot access my router.  Anyone any ideas about this?

Thanks

If you have the max hub it is a known change due to how the router is managed in the cloud. Its safe to enter your login details but is better to use the my sky app

I'm exactly the same.  I can access myrouter.io from my phone (iPhone 15), but not from my desktop PC which is connected directly into the router.

I have just got the new SkyMax router and am having the same problem.  Nobody seems to have an answer yet.  I can only access my router on my phone which is crazy

@uffelbob That is what the Sky Max hub is all about, it is app controlled!

@uffelbob many browsers have issues linking to websites that do not have a valid security certificate which applies to the Sky Max hub's web interface. This is one of the reasons why Sky have moved all of the customer settings into the My Sky app.

Given the web interface is only accessible from within the internal network there is no requirment for it to offer https: standards.

Re: myrouter.io This site can’t be reached but the internet is accessable

Hi,

I had the same issue with my desktop Mac - "can't find server myrouter.io" - but I could log into the Sky hub from every other device on the home network - MacBook, iPad, iPhone etc, using 192.168.0.1. Turns out it's a Domain Name Server settings issue.

When I checked network settings on the desktop Mac, I had only 8.8.8.8 set as the DNS, but on the MacBook the first DNS was 192.168.01, as well as 8.8.8.8 etc - I added 192.168.0.1 as the first item in the DNS list on my desktop Mac and now I can log in.

Hope this helps.

Gordon
