low upload speed...
so i v had sky for many years, the 70mb package, iv had on/off problems through out, this time i have next to no upload speed, the work i do at home requires me to upload, iv tired calling sky, all i get back is: your line is fine, no one guarantee's upload speed,
now i know there is a fault in my line somewhere, i have knowledge in networking/software/hardware, is there anything i can do or am stuck with this or moving to another provider?, sky told me that a engineer would say the line is fine, and they would not bother looking at it.
iv done a "hard" reset on the router, and even tried a new one, with new cables, im at a loss....

Re: low upload speed...
@volanaro if you post your hubs connection stats forum members can probably see whats going on. Speedtests tell us very little. See Find your Sky Broadband router statistics

Re: low upload speed...
@volanaro from those stats your connection looks healthy with no obvious faults your hub is connected at a tad under 78Mb/sdown and 16.6Mb/s up which looking at attenuation figures looks around the right level for the length of the line.
Devices need a fast connection to access that bandwidth but you should see speedtest results around 70Mb/s down and 16Mb/s up after accounting for network overheads. You mention Steam who irritatingly dont use the standard units when quoting speeds instead of bits (small b) they use Bytes (capital B) as there are 8 bits in a Byte 16Mb/s is 2MB/s. Is that your issue?
The other issue can be the speed of the device to the hub as especially with Wifi thst can be much slower. Poor Wifi is probably the most common issue the forum answers.

Re: low upload speed...
im using a wired connection to the router, and 5G when possible, i have this issue on my s21 ultra, s23 ultra my wifes s23, my steamdeck, my pc, etc etc, i have to use my phone to upload anything, like i have stated before iv even used a diffrent router, and cables so i have no idea whats going on, iv tried diffrent cat 5 cables, and also the ADSL cable. when doing other speed tests, not from "speedtest" i get the same result, also been on the phone with sky and they got me to do a hard reset of the router,

Re: low upload speed...
Are you sure that nothing is uploading in the background on your network as this would result in a low speedtest?
